Real names, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, musician Skales was born on April 1st 1991 in Kaduna, Nigeria.
The celebrated musician started his journey in 2000 as a rapper and songwriter. Skales’ first encounter with music was in 2007 when he travelled to Jos to work with Jeremiah Gyang and Jesse Jagz. A year later, he emerged winner for the Northern Central region of the Zain Tru Search and moved to Lagos. His first ever single ‘Must Shine’ was released in 2008 and was quickly followed with one of the greatest rap songs ever recorded in the Nigerian music history by an artist under 21, titled ‘Heading For A Grammy’. Off the radio success of this song, Skales scored a record deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment and became a ‘new-school’ force to reckon with.
Aramide is an Afro-Soul/Jazz artiste. She discovered the talents of singing and writing as a teenager and decided to nurture them. She learnt to play the saxophone and guitar, two instruments she is quite passionate about.
She participated in the Star Quest talent hunt show, making her part of a band while still studying Political Science at University of Jos. Aramide then began a solo career after graduating from University.
Aramide sings about love, betrayal, friendship, trust, and the attendant joys and aches of womanhood. Her musical influences include Erykah Badu, Miriam Makeba, Sade, Angelique Kidjo and other greats.
Producer and Singer Mr chidoo was born on April 30th as Chidozie Ekeh.
Chidozie adopted his stage name-Mr Chidoo from the abbreviation of his first name Chidozie. Mr Chidoo was born in Lagos state,western region of Nigeria. Mr Chidoo was enrolled in Basil international school ilupeju For his primary school education and also attended victory grammar school ikeja,and Baptist academy for his secondary school education, and attended the same Grad school as legendary musician Asa` (Peter Kings College of Music) he then went to further in psychology at the University of Ibadan.
Mr Chidoo was drawn into music in his early teens. Inspired by Ace musicians such as Micheal Jackson, Pharell Williams, Brandy, Will I Am Rodney jerkins “dark child”, Sia, Lana Del Rey and Daft punk and also explores a wide range of versatility up from Rhythm and Blues, pop, EDM, hip pop, techno,alternative,rock down to the naija rave and afro pop.
